Capish is an innovative digital system for AI-based
learning created by Hilma to improve English literacy and develop self-learning skills that can be applied to many other areas. The content is being generated by The Jerusalem Post. Capish is built on the S.E.L. (Social Emotional Learning) domain, which allows student users to make remarkable language learning progress, and develop their emotional and social intelligence.

The Challenge

English is the key to social mobility. At present, the student population, Jewish and Arab, have poor English language skills, including reading and comprehension.

Capish's Unique Answer

The intelligent system personalizes content for students based on their individual knowledge and skills level, leading them to in-depth reading by developing listening, reading, writing and verbal speaking skills.

Reading Flow:
Engage with diverse texts that resonate with the student; receive insightful feedback to enhance comprehension.
Vocabulary Enhancement:
Utilize AI-driven tools to expand the student’s word bank, cultivating a robust vocabulary for heightened language proficiency.
Reading Comprehension Mastery:
Practice comprehension questions at various levels, tailored to the student’s pace, to enhance understanding and elevate reading fluency.

Rina, an English teacher, faced the unfathomable as terrorists surrounded her home. She lost many loved ones as well as her home. She and her students were evacuated and are scattered across the country, grappling with their traumas and losses. Amid all this chaos, she wants to teach and they want to learn, to return to some semblance of their normal lives.

The Capish team had been working incessantly to help displaced teachers send tasks to students with a click. Armed only with their smartphones, students can complete these tasks anywhere.
